You are divine source energy, as you know. Understanding your avatar helps you direct your content into streams of energy they'll be able to resonate with.
Here's the Challenge:
Many entrepreneurs think when they focus on an avatar, they lose people. This is actually the opposite of what really happens.
I like to use "the photographer" as an example.
A photographer has many skills and most can take photos of anything and anyone.
If the photographer isn't talking to anyone in particular when they write, video, and create content, the energy the photographer sends out gets wasted in the vast field of energy. Imagine a website listing "photography" or a banner at a store displaying "photography here!" Imagine their website containing pictures of animals, headshots, plants, birds, and nature scenes.
This doesn't show their work nor does it build your confidence in their product.
When they speak to a general audience like this, they speak to no one.
However, if the photographer determines their best, most favorite client/avatar is a bride...
The photographer can then start creating content for that specific avatar such as:
"Capturing Yes Moments"
"10 Must Capture Moments (with examples)"
"Tips on Displaying Your Wedding Photos"
Check out the structure and content this wedding photography site provides:

The wedding photographer can then speak directly to the busy bride with 3 kids, who watches desperate housewives and goes to the gym in her spare time. This is how the photographer will pinpoint their content further to relate with their avatar client on a deeper level. This is how they will begin to build relationships.
Here's the breakthrough:
The client needing a wedding photographer is NOT going to be looking for "a photographer" online.
They aren't going to contact someone who advertises nature photography, product photography, or headshots.
They're looking specifically for a wedding photographer. Their search is as direct and focused as your avatar should be.
You can relate with the bride with content and copy such as:
"Make time for the two of you. You'll appreciate that more than anything after the wedding, especially when you see the photos. Enjoy every moment, don't plan too much that you miss the day; it's your day, don't be swayed by others. This is the best day of your life—party that way.."
and...
"Your wedding day will feel like a time-lapse video. It’s here one moment, and then it’s gone. Savor every single moment. Take the time to look at your flowers and the small details that you took the time to plan. Take a break from the reception if you need it."
Here's the BIG secret:
Does the wedding photographer ONLY do wedding photography? No. In fact, the wedding photographers I've met also do family photos, headshots, still shots in nature and capture candid moments in everyday life.
Wedding photography builds their business. It attracts people. It's this initial sonar that attracts the brides first, then their husbands, their friends, their cousins and their friend's cousin who gets the referral or word of mouth about the great experience (even though this new client is looking for photos for their website...)
It's the "In". It's how people will get on your list, meet you and build a relationship with you over time THEN hire to take their family portraits.
Your avatar isn't something or someone you "find" , it's someone you discover, create and define.
with love,
Lora
