What it means to have clarity.
Can you experience your mind right now, in stillness and in clarity?
It seems to me the opposite of clarity is a murky mud puddle that's been stepped in. And stepped in again moments later. Imagine, rain boot covered footsteps passing through as if they're working hard to get somewhere quickly. The dirt rarely settling to the bottom for the clear water to rise to the top before the boots take another step into the puddle. Leaving a cloudy puddle of overwhelm, over-thinking, and chaos.
The puddle is the mind. The mud, the dust, the particles, is thought.
Visualize this. The puddle, naturally, is pristine and clear on top. The heavy particles fall to the bottom. Sunshine shines through the top layers, reflecting the clouds and the sky upon the stillness of the water. Peace prevails here. The mind relaxes. The mind rests in stillness.
Just as the natural state of the puddle is stillness and clarity, stillness and clarity is the default mode of your mind. Clarity is the natural state of your mind. Peace is your birthright and it is innate to your existence.
Can you experience your mind right now, in stillness? A glass reflection of the clear blue sky floating upon pristine, still water. Weightless and free...can you experience a still and peaceful mind at this very moment? The quiet, the peace, the calmness?
This is the beautiful simplicity of your natural state.
That is you. This is you. Everything else is dust. Everything else is thought.
Our ego is the one wearing the rain boots attempting to do gods work. The work that is to be delivered by the part in each of us that is god. The ego, attempting to help us with our journey, tries its hardest to help us deliver what is meant to come through us. Only to find ourselves shaken up in a puddle of murky thought-riddled water once again. The ego is the wearer of rain boots. In its attempts to help, the ego misleads, complicates, and causes confusion when we search for guidance within it. The ego, tries to do all the figuring out when there is no figuring out to be done. The ego encourages us to generate thoughts, to believe thoughts, to build from thoughts. The ego, it its attempts to assist, shakes and stirs instead of allowing the weightlessness and freedom of stillness. The ego forgets the guidance and silent whispers that can be heard...in stillness.
Until we come to the realization once again as dust and dirt settles so we can see the reflection of the blue, sunny sky in clarity, once again. From this wholesome reflection, new thought, divine insight, and clear direction is born. From this clear space, you see the reflection of the stars for guidance along your journey.
One thing I noticed about myself is when my mind is quiet, my emotions are calm and my guidance is loud and clear. I have an inner knowing of which direction feels right to me. It's not a guess or an attempt of figuring out from the ego. It's a compass, a deep knowing. A satisfying yes. No. or I don't know. I embrace each of them with love.
Something I've noticed while talking to many people about clarity, holding clarity calls, clarity meetings and guiding through clarity coaching is that "Clarity" means different things to different people in different stages of their journey. In different moments of their life, and in different minutes of their day.
Sometimes we ask for clarity of mind. Begging for ego to simply walk around the puddle for once instead of jumping in with both feet. Igniting thought. Igniting over-thinking. Begging for the noise to stop so we can rest in the feminine energy of BEING. The being part of being human.
Sometimes, we seek clarity of thought. Looking everywhere for the reflection of the still sky for guidance, for direction, begging for answers and Truth. Asking for neutrality.
Sometimes, we seek clarity of action. Asking, "which actions do I take?", "Which moves do I make?", "Where do I go from here?". Begging for the guidance of our masculine energy in full-on action. The DOING part of being a human being. Most of us, at this point in our lives have fallen to our knees with broken hearts, eyes full of tears, and begged to a higher power "What. do. I. do?" Begging, praying, and pleading for answers.
The magic sauce is... we can sit in the stillness of clarity of mind. When we see our mind as the still water. We tend to get out of our own way and clarity of action becomes clear. Thus we began the dance with the feminine energy of being and the masculine energy of doing. The dance between form and formlessness. And through this clarity, guidance is as clear as the sky on a summer day in July.
And in your heart you know that it's all right. And you know exactly what you need to do. And you feel exactly how you need to be.
And everything feels right again.
Your journey is my journey, because we're in this together. Side by side. I'm here. Sending you love. Shining my light.
With love,
